Red Bull launches Organics soft drink range

Red Bull is launching Organics, a range of “100% natural and organically certified” soft drink, in a move designed to tap into “consumer demand for organically certified food and drink products.”

The range consists of Simply Cola, Bitter Lemon, Ginger Ale and Tonic Water, which the brand said are free from artificial flavours, colours, preservatives and additives.

Red Bull said the soft drinks category increased to £2.2bn value sales in 2017 and 81.2% of shoppers bought an organic product “at least once” last year, paying on average a third more for an organic food association.

It claims that the “increasing pool” of shoppers trading up to more expensive products has helped organic soft drinks grow.

Mark Bell, Red Bull strategy and planning manager, said: “This launch highlights the increased demand for a range of organically certified, natural drinks. Organics by Red Bull offers consumers more choice when it comes to soft drink consumption occasions and its canned format is perfectly suited to on-the-go occasions.

“For retailers, the launch provides a portfolio of refreshing soft drinks that carry Red Bull’s famous logo – a real incentive for trial.”

The Organics range is available in 250ml cans retailing at £1.29.
